Job Title: IT PCD Engineer
Position Overview:
The IT PCD Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the end-to-end information and cyber security of all operations technology (PCD) systems utilized in Shell Petroleum Development Company LTD’s (SPDC) production operations. This role involves the coordination of a proficient team of IT infrastructure engineers and technicians, specializing in end-point security and secure network communications. Close collaboration with Production Operations and Engineering disciplines ensures the sustenance and assurance of Operations Technology (PCD) Security controls, preventing disruptions to the integrity of Shell’s Production Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Safe and Secure Operations: Ensuring the security and reliability of Operations Technology systems utilized in SPDC facilities.
- Manage Nigeria Operations Technology (PCD) Assist Desk: Supervising and maintaining the support hub for seamless operations.
- Endpoint Security Management: Providing 1st Line Support, remote access management, firewall device management, and OS vulnerability patch deployment.
- Coordinate Control Systems IT Support: Plan logistics, scheduling, and maintenance for Control Systems IT support personnel.
- Supervise Core Control Systems Activities: Manage security activities, including backup, disaster recovery, remote access, end-point protection, and configuration changes.
- Deviation Management and Risk Assessment: Ensure compliance and assess risks within the SPDC Operations Technology (PCD) space.
- Conduct Operations Technology (PCD) Security Assurance and Assessments: Evaluate physical security, backup, disaster recovery, remote access, Antivirus, and OS patches.
- Engage with Business Stakeholders: Understand business demands and challenges to align IT security services effectively.
- Drive Compliance and Incident Management: Implement strategies to ensure IT security compliance and manage incidents efficiently.
- Foster a “Think Secure” Culture: Increase awareness of Operations Technology (PCD) and IT Security among staff members.
- Provide Project Consultancy: Ensure solutions adhere to Operations Technology (PCD) Security policies.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communications Engineering or Applied Sciences (further degree in Electronics or Communications Engineering preferred).
- 5-10 years of experience in IT business analysis, IT security, IT service delivery, and IT infrastructure support, with the last three years dedicated to managing operations technology security.
- Preferably with experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Mandatory certifications in cybersecurity (GICSP, ISC2 CISSP), networking (CCNP), systems administration (MCSA), and IT service management (ITILV4).
- Proficient in Control Systems, IT networks, and IT security.
- Strong understanding of Shell’s industrial/IT security standards.
- Knowledge of the Upstream business and Joint Venture concept.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills.
