Eligibility criteria for the University of Helsinki Doctoral Researcher Positions
You can apply for a salaried position in a doctoral program if you meet the following criteria:
- You are currently a doctoral researcher at the University of Helsinki or intend to pursue a doctoral degree.
- You possess postgraduate study rights at the University of Helsinki, provided you haven’t already spent a total of four years with a UH-funded doctoral researcher salary.
Selection of Doctoral Program:
- If you already have the right to pursue a postgraduate doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki, you may apply for a salaried position in another doctoral program that aligns with your research interests.
- In case you secure a salaried position in a different doctoral program, you will be required to switch your doctoral program. Please be aware that if your faculty or target degree changes due to an awarded salaried position, you may need to reapply for postgraduate study rights.
- If you do not currently possess the right to pursue a postgraduate doctoral degree at the University of Helsinki, you can still apply for a salaried position if your research plan aligns with the research profile of the doctoral program.
