Ohio University – Students in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Ohio University are typically financially supported, primarily through teaching assistantships (TAs) in the initial one or two years, followed by research assistantships (RAs).

Additional semester fees: General fee ($628), technology fee ($97), student info, and network fee ($33).
International students have a one-time orientation fee of $150.
Health insurance premium (if not otherwise covered) is approximately $2,820 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Admission Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree from a recognized U.S. institution or equivalent.
•Minimum GPA: 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
•Recommended Coursework: Mechanics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and a strong foundation in mathematics.
•GRE Tests (optional but recommended).
•Official transcripts from all colleges attended.
•Three letters of recommendation.
•Resume or CV.
•Statement of Purpose.
Application Fee Waiver:
