Details:
India-Africa Security Fellowship Fellows will be affiliated with MP-IDSA for a period of 1-3 months on a full-time basis. Alternatively, Fellows may submit original, high-quality articles (ranging from 4000-6000 words) for potential presentation during a Fellows’ Seminar at the institute. Fellows may also contribute at least one commentary for online publication on the MP-IDSA website.
Duration and Reward:
The India-Africa Security Fellowship will cover residential accommodation, office space, internet connectivity, and other necessary support facilities. Fellows will receive a monthly Fellowship stipend of Rs. 50,000, in addition to economy class airfare.
Method of Application:
Interested applicants for the India-Africa Security Fellowship should provide:
- An 800-word research proposal outlining the proposal’s relevance to the fellowship program’s objectives, its benefit to the institute and host (MP-IDSA), anticipated timeline, and expected end product.
- A 500-word statement of purpose detailing how the scholar will gain from the Fellowship.
- An updated resume.
- Two published papers as writing samples.
- Two letters of reference (professional/academic).
Completed applications should be sent via post or email at least three months prior to the intended start date of the fellowship to “The Director-General, Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA)”, dg.idsa@nic.in. Candidates will need a research visa for the duration of the Fellowship, and if accepted, MP-IDSA will provide an affiliation letter to facilitate this process.
