Scholarship Requirements:
An ideal candidate for the Presidential LEEP Scholarship exhibits:
- A high school record placing them at the top of Clark University’s applicant pool.
- A strong desire to pursue a demanding academic schedule.
- Demonstrated collaboration with peers and professors.
- Ambitious career and life goals.
- Commitment to contributing to global change.
- Willingness to tackle complex challenges at home and abroad.
Scholarship Duration and Reward:
Successful candidates will receive:
- Free tuition, room, and board for four years.
- Annual scholarship renewal contingent on maintaining a strong academic record at Clark for each undergraduate year.
Method of Application:
If interested, select the Presidential Scholarship option when completing the Common Application (available after Aug. 1). You’ll then receive detailed information, including essay topics, on how to apply for the scholarship. The final essay submission deadline is Feb. 1, for Early Action, Early Decision, and Regular Decision candidates.
Applicants will be notified in March if they are selected for an interview. The Admissions Committee selects finalists based on the strength of their admission applications and other criteria. Last year, over 450 scholarship applications were reviewed globally, with 15 finalists invited for interviews. Five were awarded the scholarship and joined the incoming class. Typically, one or two international students receive this award each year.
