University of Ottawa Undergraduate Scholarship

The University of Ottawa Undergraduate Scholarship is an average-based renewable scholarship designed for students from Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, or Bangladesh pursuing studies in English. This scholarship offers a full scholarship and a grant ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.

Scholarship Requirements:

All eligible students are automatically considered for this award at the time of their admission. While no separate application is required, recipients will need to submit proof of citizenship from a country or territory in Africa before receiving their first installments. Key eligibility criteria include:

• International student with a valid study permit

• Citizenship from one of the specified countries

• Full-time enrollment

• Admission average within specified ranges based on the scholarship category

• Newly admitted to eligible undergraduate programs offered in English or with the French Immersion option.

Scholarship Duration and Reward:

The entrance and excellence scholarship provide incoming students with a four-year scholarship to partially cover the university tuition costs. These scholarships are renewable for up to 12 terms.

Method of Application:

Interested and qualified applicants should follow these steps:

• Apply through the OUAC portal: https://www.ouac.on.ca/ouac-105/

• Login to the school’s portal, UOZone, using the Student Number to submit results and documents for review.

• After a successful review, a conditional admission offer will be provided, including the scholarship based on the average.
