The Conservation and Biodiversity Lab, led by Dr. Dale Gawlik at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, is seeking a Ph.D. student. The research will contribute to waterbird conservation and the preservation of their habitats in the Gulf of Mexico. The focus will be on developing a prioritization tool for the rehabilitation of waterbird colony islands along the Texas coast. The position involves addressing questions related to the productivity of waterbird species using drone-derived aerial imagery of coastal colonies.
