Up to 50 PhD studentships are available across participating universities.
Award Summary:
- Tuition fees are covered at the home rate.
- Annual stipend (living expenses) of £18,622.
- International candidates may need to fund the difference between home and international fees.
Award Duration:
Various options from 3.5 to 5.5 years, depending on the candidate’s background and training needs.

Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to Home applicants (UK and EU with pre-settled/settled status) and international applicants.
- Research proposals should fall within specified subject areas.
- Applicants must meet ESRC’s eligibility criteria and the entry requirements of the relevant Masters and/or PhD program.
- Supervisory team support with expertise in the subject area is required.
