The Eiffel Excellence Scholarships Program, initiated by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, aims to attract outstanding foreign students for enrollment in masters and PhD programs at French higher education institutions.
Geared towards future foreign leaders in both private and public sectors, the program prioritizes key study areas and welcomes applicants up to 25 years old for master’s level and up to 30 years old for PhD level.
Eligibility for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarships For Developing Countries
Exclusively open to foreign nationals; those with dual nationality involving French citizenship are ineligible.
Age criteria: Up to 30 years for master’s level and up to 35 years for PhD level as of the selection committee meeting in March 2021.
Applications must be submitted through French educational establishments, which commit to enrolling selected scholarship holders in their respective courses.
Educational establishments must ensure:
Non-French speaking applicants possess adequate French language proficiency for successful course integration.
No combination with other French government scholarships under different programs is allowed at the time of application.
Benefits:
Master’s Level:
Monthly allowance of €1,181 (comprising a maintenance allowance of €1,031 and a monthly stipend of €150).
Direct coverage of international return journey, social security, and cultural activities.
Additional housing allowance under specific conditions.
PhD Level:
Monthly allowance of €1,400.
Direct coverage of international return journey, social security, and cultural activities.
Potential additional housing allowance under specific conditions.
Duration of the Eiffel Excellence Scholarships For Developing Countries
Awarded for:
Up to 12 months for entry at M2 level.

“ to 36 months for an engineering degree.
