Utah State University Graduate Assistantship Position —Funded Ph.D. or MSc. positions are available in Biological Engineering at Utah State University. The Fungal Biotechnology & Engineering (FBE) Lab seeks to hire 2 Ph.D. or MSc. students for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 term. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support, including salary, tuition waiver, and health insurance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biological, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Candidates with science degrees in related fields are also encouraged to apply.
- Preferred previous laboratory research experience, particularly in microbiology, mycology, or water treatment.
- Highly motivated individuals with a keen interest in bioprocesses, environmental remediation, and circular economy.
- Good language and communication skills.
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- Experience with microscopy (e.g., SEM, Confocal microscopy), ICP-MS, 3D printing is highly desired.
