The PhD position is part of the WeedNERY project, aiming to develop microbial cell factories for the valorization of brown and red seaweeds into high-quality value-added compounds. The research focuses on the microbial utilization of seaweed-derived sugar monomers and the degradation of seaweed-derived polymers. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary consortium contributing to sustainable bioeconomy.
Eligibility:
- Relevant background in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Completed master’s degree equivalent to a five-year Norwegian degree program.
