Aalborg University (AAU), Faculty of Engineering and Science, Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, invites applications for a Ph.D. stipend/Integrated Ph.D. stipend in Computational Materials Chemistry. This fully-funded opportunity is open for a 3 or 4-year term, starting from September 1, 2024. The research focuses on the development of sustainable energy materials, utilizing computational methods to design and discover new materials for energy applications. The Ph.D. stipend aims to accelerate the design of sustainable energy materials using computational materials chemistry. The research, led by Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Kasper Tolborg, will leverage machine learning and finite temperature modeling to design materials, with a focus on solid-state electrolytes for batteries.
