Baylor University Postdoctoral Research Positions- Join Dr. Aaron’s Wright biomedical research group at Baylor University’s Department of Biology in Waco, Texas, and be at the forefront of innovative research. We are actively seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate with specialized knowledge in Chemical Biology and/or Organic Chemistry. Dr. Wright’s research group is committed to conducting phenotype-driven investigations of the gut microbiome and other intricate biological systems, emphasizing the synthesis and utilization of chemical probes. We seek individuals with a Ph.D. and a background in chemical biology or organic chemistry to contribute to our dynamic research endeavors.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or be pursuing one in chemical biology, organic chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in independently designing and conducting experiments within the area of expertise is essential.
- Additional competencies in fields such as the application of chemical molecules/tools to biological systems are advantageous
- Additional competencies in fields such as biochemistry, microbiology, protein expression, cell culture, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, and/or functional assays are advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate and develop innovative ideas, methodologies relevant to research programs is of high value.
