Human-Landscape Interactions Doctoral Studies at Umeå University- The Department of Historical Philosophical and Religious Studies at Umeå University in Sweden is offering a PhD position to study human-landscape interactions within the broad field of archaeology.
Research Focus:
- Explore the complex relationships between humans and their past environments.
- Develop your research within the department’s expertise in northern European and circumpolar archaeology, while exploring new areas of interest.
- Gain access to the well-equipped Environmental Archaeology Lab (MAL)for your research (subject to project focus).
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Archaeology or a closely related field.
- Strong academic record with a minimum of 60 credits at the Master’s level (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated interest in researching human-landscape interactions and/or archaeology of landscapes/wetlands.
