- Eligible fields of study: Master’s degree programs in any field related to sustainable energy development, such as renewable energy, advanced electricity technologies, and public policy.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be full-time master’s students from a developing country.
- Applicants must be pursuing studies in a field related to sustainable energy development.
- Applicants must be citizens of a developing country on the list of official development aid recipients identified by the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD.
- Applicants must be committed to contributing to their home country’s development after their studies.
- Applicants must be outstanding students with excellent grades, a commitment to zero-carbon energy development, a history of community involvement, and a determination to advance their knowledge and understanding of sustainable energy development.

- Scan of passport or birth certificate
- Letter of admission to the master’s program of choice
- Course outline of the master’s program

Please note:
- All documents must be in English.
- Applicants must meet all the admission requirements of the University of Pretoria.
- International applicants whose first language is not English must meet the university’s English language requirements.
Benefits
The University of Pretoria will provide up to $10,000 per year for up to two years to cover the costs of tuition and living expenses. Approximately 12 students are selected annually for this scholarship.
