- Registration on MY PAGE with JAPAN STUDY SUPPORT (JPSS).
- Receipt of a message from the university via the “JPSS Scout function” prior to acceptance.
- Ability to interview in Japanese or English.
- Possession of a Japanese bank account in the applicant’s name for scholarship disbursement (Internet banks not accepted).
- Non-Japanese citizenship.
Japan Study Support Scholarship Duration and Reward
Successful applicants will receive financial support as follows:
- 500,000 Yen financial assistance for one applicant upon enrollment in their designated Japanese university.
- 100,000 Yen financial assistance each for two applicants upon enrollment in their designated Japanese university.

- Short essay (up to 350 English words or 800 Japanese characters) on ‘Motivation to Study in Japan & Future Goals.’
