Applications are now open for the World IP Day 2025 Youth Video Competition. This global event celebrates the vital role of music and intellectual property rights in fostering innovation and creativity.
Participants are invited to create and submit a 60- to 90-second video that highlights how intellectual property (IP) rights drive innovation in music and contribute to the creative economy.
The theme for this year is “Tuning in with the Music of Innovation and Creativity.” Show the world how IP rights benefit music creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs while shaping the future of music.

Who Can Enter?
The competition is open to individuals and groups meeting the following criteria:
Individual Entries:
- Must be aged 18 to 35 at the time of application.
Group Entries:
- Groups can include up to 10 participants.
- At least one group member must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Each participant can submit only one entry, either individually or as part of a group—not both.
Entry Requirements for the 2025 World IP Day Youth Video Competition
Your video entry must meet these criteria:
- Length and Format:
- The video must be 60–90 seconds long and in MP4 format.
- Language:
- Include audio narration in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish. No subtitles or captions are allowed.
- Originality:
- The video must be unpublished, original, and not previously recognized or awarded in any competition.
- Background Music:
- If background music is used, provide proof of authorization for its use.
- Compliance:
- Ensure the video does not infringe on any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.

- Prepare Your Video: Ensure it adheres to all entry requirements.
- Submit Your Entry:
- Deadline: March 16, 2025, 23:59 CET
- Submit your video through the official application portal.
- Vote for People’s Choice:
- Public voting for the People’s Choice Prize will take place from April 4–14, 2025.
- Even if you didn’t submit a video, you can still participate in the voting!
- Winners Announcement:
- Tune in on April 25, 2025, to discover the winners.
